Biography

Angela Radice Raval is the Director of Scientific Projects for ASHP. Dr. Raval has experience in clinical pharmacy practice, medical writing and medication safety. As a Scientific Project director, Angela is responsible for developing and implementing live, web-based, and enduring educational programs and related projects. She works closely with faculty and assures that all programs meet ACCME and ACPE guidelines for quality.
Prior to her current position, Angela was the Director of the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists at ASHP. In this role Angela served as an information resource and provided guidance to ASHP members and staff regarding science and scientific developments affecting pharmacy practice in health systems. She also was as Drug Information Analyst for ASHP and responsible for writing and updating drug monographs for the AHFS Drug Information publication. Angela has experience at the FDA as a Safety Evaluator where she monitored medication adverse event reports and also has practiced as a clinical pharmacist in pediatrics at Childrens National Health System in Washington, DC.
Angela received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in Gainesville and Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also completed an ASHP accredited PGY-1 residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
