Angela R. Raval is the Director for the Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists. In this role Angela serves as an information resource and provides guidance to ASHP members regarding science and scientific developments affecting pharmacy practice in health systems. She also serves as secretary to the Section executive committee and coordinates activities to accomplish the objectives established by the Section.
Angela received her Bachelor degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also completed an ASHP accredited residency in pharmacy practice at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Prior to her current position at ASHP, Angela practiced as a clinical pharmacist at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. She also held the position of Safety Evaluator at the Food and Drug Administration where she monitored medication adverse event reports and was a Drug Information Analyst at ASHP writing and updating drug monographs for the AHFS Drug Information publication.
