ASHP Ambassador Round 4

By Daniel Marsh posted 07-30-2015 10:18

I have a goal of completing one recertification module a month and it always seems to come down to the last few days, but somehow I get it done. This month I completed recertification module 1D, the subject of which is COPD and Asthma. There were 4 articles to read, 2 concerning the use of magnesium in asthma exacerbation, 1 on azithromycin for COPD, and 1 on withdrawal of glucocorticoids. I found the articles to all be relevant to my practice and feel like I will be able to make better recommendations based on these readings.

So, how long did it take to complete this time around? The 4 articles took around 1.5 hours to get through and the 20 question test was about an hour, so total I spent about 2.5 hours on this module. The questions for this module were straightforward for the most part, but there were a few tricky ones that I apparently missed, but from reading the articles you should be able to pass without any problems.

Next month I'll try to finish another module. It's going to be even more challenging with the arrival of my son, due any day now, but I will find a way and I encourage you all to make time to further your education as well.

 Thanks for reading!
