Methods to the Madness

For sports fans, March is associated with sweat, tears, rivalries and most importantly basketball! However for pharmacy students, "March Madness" takes on a whole different meaning ...

March Madness is a moniker typically used to describe the most popular sporting event of the year, the annual NCAA Basketball Tournament. Unfortunately for pharmacy students, with March comes stress, sleep deprivation, and midterms. This month is without a doubt, one of the most challenging transitions of the year. One week you're relaxing on the beach and the next week you're managing midterms, projects, and a variety of other assignments.

March Madness and Midterm Madness have a lot more in common than you think. There is alway a method to the madness. According to google, the noun method is defined as "a particular form of procedure for accomplishing or approaching something, especially a systematic or established one, orderliness of thought or behavior, and systematic planning or action". Determining a method to the madness (midterms, school, stress), is a precursor to success.

According to google, the term madness is defined as a state of frenzied or chaotic activity. Developing "a particular form of procedure for accomplishing or approaching" chaotic times will not only decrease stress, but will also boost your success. So when school or work gets stressful and chaotic, remember your method to conquer the madness!
