As pharmacists, our goal is to practice at the highest level and provide care to our patients by collaborative practice and working interprofessionally in the medical team. As a new practitioner, it is crucial that you continue your involvement with professional organizations and legislative advocacy. By continuing your commitment, you engage into leadership roles that can shape the future of our profession. Today is my final day of my PGY-2 infectious diseases residency, and I look forward to beginning a career as an independent practitioner. My new position will actually be as a medicine clinical pharmacist in an academic medical center
