In resurveying and publishing Is There Still a Pharmacy Leadership Crisis?...“Many of us are drawn to pharmacy practice because it is a job that can stay at work; leadership comes home with you.”
I had a chance to view an article by Bastow and Greszler in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education about the value of including exposure to Industrial Medical Affairs in pharmacy education and residencies. It is gratifying to see discussion of industrial practice as something other than "going to the dark side"

Pharmacy has stepped up to take a leadership role with this initiative and the LLPM provides a means of additional resources, as well as additional learning opportunities for both students and residents. The decentralized pharmacy staff (clinical generalists) are critical to the success of the LLPM, because they support many functions including anticoagulation counseling, order verification and discharge counseling
