Fight FOMO: Blog About the Midyear on ASHP Connect

By Aretha Hankinson posted 11-30-2011 16:17

Pharm.D., HOD, COT, FASHP…ASHP loves our acronyms. Here’s a new one we got from the Urban Dictionary. FOMO…the fear of missing out. It’s what people experience when they log onto Facebook and realize that everyone is having a good time…without them.

With the Midyear less than a week away, ASHP doesn’t want members to be overwhelmed by FOMO. But we know that someone has to stay home to keep the pharmacy department running. And even if you are headed to New Orleans, it’s a big meeting. You won’t be able to see everything.

That’s why we’re asking you to blog about your time in New Orleans and post some of your most memorable experiences on ASHP Connect.

We’d like you to post using the meeting theme as inspiration. Describe your “NOLA”—the networking, opportunity, learning, and advancement that you experience at the meeting. You can write one post for the week or post something each day. We’ll share links to your blogs on ASHP’s web page, Facebook page, and Twitter feed.

If you’re interested in contributing, but need help getting started, e-mail us at publicinfo@ashp.org.
