I would like to remind you all of a unique opportunity for your chapter to participate in through the ASHP Foundation… the Leadership Speakers Bureau!
What is the Leadership Speakers Bureau (LSB)?
- The Leadership Speakers Bureau (LSB) is a program offered through the ASHP Foundation. It is a way to connect with new, interesting, and unique pharmacy speakers from all across the country and have them speak to your SSHP chapter.
- A host guide is available to help you with the planning and execution of the event.
- Financial reimbursement is available to help your chapter support the event. Read more about this funding below!
Who can utilize the LSB?
- All SSHP chapters can participate!
Why should my SSHP chapter participate?
- The LSB can help you find new and unique speakers that you may otherwise never connect with. The ASHP Foundation will assist you in contacting pharmacy leaders from all across the country. This will bring a fresh perspective on leadership to your SSHP chapter and your pharmacy school.
- Hosting a LSB speaker is a great way to bring your SSHP chapter together for a fun and educational discussion.
- Funding is available to help in executing the event. The stipend may be used for refreshments, supplies, speaker support, and/or logistics (venue, equipment, etc.). Each chapter can request up to $200 for one LSB event. See the general LSB application form for more details.
How can you apply?
- When your SSHP chapter is ready to apply, simply fill out and submit this request form. Then, schedule your event at least 60 days from the date of your submission and utilize the Host Guide to finish the planning process.
When are applications due?
- Applications are open NOW! The deadline for this Spring is March 15, 2018. The application form will reopen again in the fall for an additional opportunity to apply. For more information, visit the ASHP Foundation website.
