Pharmacists in the Pharmacy Section of Informatics and Technology are on top of things and here is the lastest news regarding the Summer Meeting and Twitter.  This is going to be fun and interesting (even for those who typically would not be attending an informatics-related session) so be sure and tell all your friends too!

Ever wanted to ask a question in an educational session but didn't want to interrupt? Have you noticed lately how everyone's tweeting at ASHP meetings?

Not only can you follow what's happening at the meeting via #ashpsm, those attending the INFORMATICS-RELATED sessions will be able to submit questions during presentations using Twitter. You'll even see a live Twitterfeed of the questions onscreen during the sessions.

To participate in or follow in the discussions, create an account at www.twitter.com .  Then, go to http://bit.ly/dG2HT9 and click Follow this List

Once you've created an account and are following the list, download a Twitter app to your smartphone to participate during the sessions. To learn more about Twitter, visit http://business.twitter.com/basics/what-is-twitter .

In this series of programs, you’ll learn how you can leverage technology to achieve the future pharmacy practice model, optimize automation, align meaningful use regulations with EHRs and the content of your CPOE order sets, establish credentialing for pharmacy informaticians, and use mobile devices to enhance your personal/professional life.
