Feeling stressed? Make a to-do list!

For many of us, this time of year is filled with a lot of excitement, but also a lot of stress. There are projects to finish, exams to take, and (for some) very big moves to plan. With so much to do and so little time, it is easy to feel overwhelmed.

When I feel stressed, my go-to action is to make a new and pristine to-do list! While many of you may already have your own preferred to-do list methods, I think there are always ways to enhance your efficiency and I want to share a helpful site on to-do lists. The MindTools website also offers other great tips and articles on time management.

I came upon this resource through the Outstanding Resident Package that members of the New Practitioners Forum (NPF) Career Development Advisory Group (CDAG) have created. I know I have touted this package before, but it really is filled with an array of resources! It covers five domains: leadership, interpersonal development, public speaking and presentations, teaching and learning, and journal publication. Each domain has its own set of resources. (I found the MindTools website in the interpersonal development section). Even though this package is called the Outstanding Resident Package, it is truly useful for any new practitioner.

The CDAG is excited to have this resource (that’s filled with resources!) available for your use soon…distributing it is on our own to-do list so look for it soon! ;)
