Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners’  “Meet and Greet” Networking Session:

Sunday, December 4, 5:30-6:30PM, Room 263, Level 2

Come and meet the Executive Committee members and learn how we are representing YOUR interests as an Inpatient Care Practitioner as this is your opportunity to ask questions, provide valuable input and share with us how we can help YOU  in daily practice!  We have numerous Section Advisory Groups that we would love you to learn about.  If you are looking to get involved in ASHP this is your chance to learn how!

This will be an engaging, thought provoking participative event and a wonderful way to culminate the first day of the Midyear’s return to the Big Easy!

Section Advisory Groups…

SAG on Pharmacy Practice Experiences focuses on aiding the preceptors for student rotations (IPPE and APPE). This SAG was responsible for creating the ASHP Preceptor Tool Kit along with the How to Start a New Student

Rotation resources.

SAG on Pharmacy Support Services focuses on the effective and innovative deployment of pharmacy support personnel. This SAG will have a critical role in the advancement of the pharmacy technicians’ role in response to the Pharmacy Practice Model Initiative (PPMI).

SAG on Small and Rural Hospitals focuses on the unique pharmacy needs and challenges facing smaller hospitals in rural and frontier areas of the country. The SAG has hosted specialized programming for the rural setting for the past five years.

 

SAG on Medication Safety focuses on just that….medication safety! This vital SAG has produced numerous educational sessions (e.g. 2011 Summer Meeting) and webinars on medication safety (e.g. Strategic Solutions for Managing Drug Shortages).

SICP Educational Steering Committee assesses the educational needs of our section members and engages in a variety of activities to meet those needs. The committee is credited for developing Section-relevant educational programming for the Midyear.
