ASHP strives for the development and care of professionals such as pharmacy students in the healthcare field. There tons of ways to manage stress through ASHP resources. In January, ASHP released their 2022 Well-Being and Resilience Webinar Series. The series includes topics such as building resilience, mindfulness, meditation, and even wellness strategies for student pharmacists. Managing burnout in the pharmacy field is also a topic covered which may be applicable to students who work as pharmacy interns.  This webinar is free for all members on ASHP Connect. You can find this series on ASHP Connect: 2022 Well-Being and Resilience Series

Did you know that ASHP also posts podcasts relating to well-being resilience as well? The Well-being Wednesdays series showcases our member’s thoughts on self-care and well being. All podcasts for the Well-being series can be found on the ASHP website here: Well-being Wednesdays or on streaming services such as iTunes, Spotify, Google, Stitcher, TuneIn, and iHeartRadio. Topics include finding developing resiliency, financial wellness, career resources and even healthy activities such as yoga.

In addition to ASHP’s webinar series and podcasts, ASHP also offers free membership to Headspace, a meditation and mindfulness app. Practicing mindfulness and meditation can help pharmacy students mitigate stress and build resilience at the same time!  You can find more information about Headspace membership on the ASHP website.

Pharmacy school can be tough, but remember that self-care is just as important as progressing through pharmacy school. As the school year comes to an end, be sure to reflect on how far you have come this year! Best of luck for those who have finals coming up and congratulations to the soon-to-be pharmacists who are graduating this May!
