Dr. Butler is the Manager of Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Services at Providence Medical Group (Oregon Region), part of Providence St. Joseph Health. She previously practiced as a Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Specialist with PMG and at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Internal Medicine Clinic.
She received her B.S. in Pharmacy from Oregon State University (OSU), and her Pharm.D. from OSU/Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU). She completed a specialty residency in Primary Care through Providence Health & Services in Portland, Oregon and is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care.
Kristy is a Past-President of the Oregon Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP), and is an active member of ASHP. She is currently on the ASHP Board of Directors and has previously served as Chair of the Council on Public Policy, Chair of the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners, a member of the Ambulatory Care Conference & Summit’s Consensus Recommendations Panel, the ASHP representative to The Joint Commission’s Professional and Technical Advisory Committee on Ambulatory Care, and a member of SACP's SAG on Clinical Practice Advancement. She is a Fellow of ASHP and OSHP, a past OSHP Pharmacy Practitioner of the Year and OSHP Pharmacist of the year, and received OSU College of Pharmacy’s inaugural Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
Dr. Butler has worked with many pharmacy and medical students and residents in her busy clinical practices, and has had faculty appointments with the OSU College of Pharmacy (Affiliate Faculty), Pacific University Oregon School of Pharmacy (Adjunct Clinical), and OHSU Department of Medicine (Assistant Professor).
In her free time, Kristy loves to travel, collect wine, spend time with her family and friends, and attend Oregon State athletic events (Go Beavs!).
