Hello! I completed my undergraduate and pharmacy training at West Virginia University in 2010. After completion of my PharmD, I traveled to the exotic world of Ohio for a PGY1 at UC Health - University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. After one year, I enjoyed my experience so much that I stayed for a second year specializing in Critical Care and served as UCMC's chief pharmacy resident. I was lucky enough to stay on working second shift in an effort to match 24 hour clincial pharmacy coverage in the emergency room and critical care units as a clinical pharmacy specialist. I am now serving as MICU/SICU clinical specialist with some evening ER thrown in.
I am serving my 5th (and final) in the ASHP New Practitioner Forum (NPF) as an Executive Committee Member. I previously worked on NPF Advisory Groups: Membership and Outreach (MOAG) and Practice Advancement Initiative (PAIAG) Advisory Groups. I am also active in Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists Organizational Affairs Division, PPMI Task force, and serve as the local area representative to the Greater Cincinnati Society of Health-System Pharmacy.
My career goals include continuing to better future health-system pharmacists through advocacy for our profession. Short term goals of mine include refining my research skills and perfecting direct patient care in the intensive care unit and emergency department. Long term goals of mine include coordination of a flavor yet to be determined. In my free time I enjoy good conversation, festival going, and entertainment.
